Kevin Blanks, Head Coach Kevin has been in charge of the coaching team at Sandown for longer than he cares to remember and much of the club's success over the years has been down to his skill, knowledge and dedication. Kevin has had a distinguished career in the world of Ski Racing. He spent his earlier years coaching and instructing at the renowned Austrian Ski School of Innsbruck, following which he worked for the British Ski Team as a coach in the mid and late eighties and he was one of the coaches that took the British Children's team to the 1990 World Championships. He is widely regarded as one of the most experienced and successful coaches in the UK. More recently he decided to focus all his energies on Sandown. Kevin also has his own successful management training business.

John Harris A founder member at the age of 9, John Harris has been through the whole system at Sandown and claims to be its longest surviving member! He went on to achieve huge success as a ski racer, both on snow and 'plastic', and represented his country on many occasions. John's father, Eric, was a former coach of the Club and when John stopped competitive ski racing he quickly followed in his father's footsteps, gained his coaching qualifications and has been a long-standing member of the coaching team at Sandown ever since. He also takes a lead role in the race coaching of Cranmore School, Reeds School and, occasionally, Surbiton High School. John has many interests outside the world of skiing and is likely to sell you a car if you come within 5 paces!

Heinz Anderegg Based in Engleberg in Switzerland, Heinz has been associated with Sandown for many years and works closely with Kevin and John to ensure a seamless training program for all our trainees and racers. Working alongside him and helping with the training of Sandown racers, are a team of Swiss Race Coaches, many with experience at World and Europa Cup level Heinz is also engaged in training regional Swiss race teams and was recently appointed as Head of the Engleberg Ski School. Corinne Maurer Based in Meiringen in Switzerland, Corinne has been associated with Sandown Park Ski Race Club for many years and works closely with Heinz and Kevin. She coaches on the hill as well as organizing and leading the fitness programs for the athletes. Corinne is a sport-and fitness teacher in her native Switzerland. In winter she coaches students of the University of Berne. She has also worked for many years in the Meiringen and Hasliberg Ski School. When she is not working on snow, she leads the sport section and teaches sports at a large local school.

Greg Evans Greg is a home grown trainer, having been a highly successful ski racer all the way up to Senior level with Sandown. Greg Evans started skiing aged 4 in France and within a year of joining Sandown won the BARSC mini Chamoionship. Member of Children's Team in 2000/01. Medal winner at British International Schoolboys 2003, 04, 05 and 06 when he captained the winning Hampton School team and also won Gold in the Slalom at the 2006 BARSC Championships. Obtained his full FIS licence in 2004 and has subsequently competed in Europe and Canada. Currently rankled 8th in his age group in both GS and SL. On plastic he captained the wiinning U16 Hampton School Team at the 2005 ESSKIA championships

Steve Cooper, Fitness Trainer Hi, I'm Steve (the cool one with the snowboard! ed) and if I had to try and encapsulate what I am about it is to make exercise effective and fun! As I'd always participated and competed in sport, it was no surprise that I'd end up doing a degree in Sports Science/Physiology in Leeds Uni. Currently self employed and Sports Activity Manager for a large David Lloyd club with qualifications from NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), ACSM (Amercian College of Sports Medicine) and currently finishing my NVQ Assessors award for Gym Instruction.
